Majestic-12, Majic12, MJ-12, MJ-XII, Majestic Trust are all code names to indicate an alleged U.S. secret organization, constituted by the the President H.S. Truman on the suggestion of Vannevar Bush, director of the OSRD (Office of Scientific Research and Development) and of the SecDef, James Forrestal.

In support of the existence of MJ-12 there is a series of controversial documents known as Project Blue Planet, immediately at the center of a heated debate after their first evidence in 1984: a long series of manuals, typed, mainly concerning the discovery of scrap from an alleged spaceship and alien bodies and declared "counterfeit" by the FBI on the basis of inconsistencies in style and historical anachronisms. However, to the testimonies of scientists apparently involved in the project, in 1978 were added some Canadian documents, dated between 1950 and 1951: these mention the existence of strictly confidential studies on UFOs, of a group operating within the Pentagon, at the US Research and Development Board.

The ufologists (among them Bill Moore and Lee Graham) have always maintained that this group, whose name is not explicitly mentioned, was just Majestic-12 and took action precisely to conceal from the world opinion the evidence of the presence of alien creatures on Earth and in particular the material the Project Aquarius, which aimed to collect all scientific information on ufos and their occupants, to be used for the development of American space technology: would also talk about agreements with extraterrestrials to obtain technology in exchange for human guinea pigs for biological tests.

Over the years M-12 has been linked to a number of additional conspiracy theories and is believed to be still active: according to microbiologist Dan Burisch, it is, in fact, an organization working for the "Committee of the Majority", a Masonic association that coordinates contacts with aliens present on Earth and operations to form a New World Order, so is therefore responsible for all scientific operations carried out in Area 51, at Base Dulce and at the Frenchmman’s Mountain installation.

Although Majestic-12 is not as powerful as the Illuminati, is believed to be planning the creation of a World Government.
