Ufologists have always claimed that Majestic-12, the alleged secret group wanted by President Harry Truman, acted to conceal from world public opinion evidence of the presence of alien creatures on Earth: specifically, "Project Aquarius" in its programme aimed to collect all the scientific information on UFOs and their occupants, in order to exploit them for the development of American space technology.
The document concerning the aforementioned Project, presented as an informative briefing by Majestic 12 to former US President Jimmy Carter, was delivered on June 13, 1991 to the researcher Lee Graham by the ufologist Bill Moore (co-author with Charles Berlitz, of the famous book “The Roswell incident” with which the by now forgotten, though very famous, "Roswell event” was spotlighted: there are mentioned several acronyms including IAC (Identified Alien Crafts) and "Project Gleem”, which began in 1953 on the order of President Eisenhower and under the control of the NSC (National Safety Council) and of the MJ12, then evolving into “Aquarius” in 1966.
Initially the project was classified as "Top Secret" and reached the Majic classification in December 1969, following the official closure of "Project Blue Book": the goal of the new project was to gather as much scientific, technological and medical information as possible on UFO sightings and contact with ALF (Alien Life Form). The information collected would then be used by the US to achieve progress in the space exploration programme.
Among the information contained in Aquarius wrappings there is a summary of the history of the UFO phenomenon in the United States, from the famous sighting of Kenneth A. Arnold in June 1947 (the aviator on his CallAir A-2 was performing a search activity for a missing military aircraft, when he spotted nine unusual flying objects in deployment near Mount Rainier) until the discovery of the flying saucer crashed in Roswell and its four alien occupants in July of the same year. It also seems that other vehicles of extraterrestrial origin were recovered in the following years: one of them was found partially intact by the military in 1949.
The only surviving alien, conventionally called EBE, was interrogated by Army Intelligence to discover that the aliens came from a planet in the star system of Zeta Reticuli located about 40 light-years from Earth. The alien lived until June 18, 1952, when he died of an unknown desease. The recovery of alien ships led the US government to undertake, in secret, an investigation program to determine whether extraterrestrials could pose a direct threat to US national security.
In 1958, in the Utah desert, a third alien disk was recovered in excellent condition but, having been abandoned by its occupants for some inexplicable reason, no life form was found inside it: the latter spacecraft was considered a technological prodigy by American scientists but the complexity of its instruments made it extremely difficult to understand.
In the course of their investigation, the authorities came to the conclusion that aliens exploratory activities were not aggressive or hostile but they thought it appropriate not to disclose anything to the population in order to avoid general panic, so, when the Air Force shut down Project Blue Book in December 1969, Project Aquarius secretly continued under the guidance and control of the National Security Council/MJ12.
In the relative document there are also interesting hints to a plan of the US government in order to release gradually to the civilians the information about aliens and the following projects:
-Project Bando: started in 1949 and finished in 1974 to retrieve the bodies of alien creatures and collect medical information from the survivors of the UFOs crashes. This project examined the EBE alien and provided scientific researchers in the USA with answers on evolutionary theory.
-Project Sigma: started as part of "Project Gleem" in 1954 but became a separate project in 1976. Its mission was to establish a dialogue with aliens and received a positive response when, in 1959, the USA established the first communications with extraterrestrials: on April 25, a USAF intelligence Officer, met two Aliens at a pre- arranged location in the desert of New Mexico.The contact lasted approximately three hours and was based on the language provided to the military by the alien EBE. This project is currently continuing on an Air Force base in New Mexico.
-Project Snowbird: established in 1972 with the aim of testing and flying the alien spaceships recovered. This project seems to continue in Nevada
-Project Pounce: created in 1968, its mission was to evaluate all UFO/IAC information pertaining to space technology.
