In 2008 a 41 year old Spanish woman, Lerina Garcia Gordo, revealed that she was convinced that she found herself in an alternative dimension.
Theories regarding parallel universes or alternative universes have often excited the imagination of scientists, writers, directors, artists ... in this story, however, the protagonist (Lerina Garcia Gordo) is a "normal" 41 year old Spanish professional, who lives a regular life, does not suffer from mental disorders and is not a victim of supernatural fantasies.
In 2008 Lerina woke up like every morning but immediately noticed some "out of place" details. Many small differences, starting from the covertis of her bed (different than when she went to bed) to her workplace (there was no longer her name plate on her office door). Frightened, she went to the doctor's office, where she was tested for alcohol and drugs, without detecting anything suspicious; she later found other even more important differences, for example he discovered that he was still in a relationship with what he thought was his ex boyfriend and that many other facts present in his memories (such as the shoulder operation suffered by his sister) did not apparently happened:
"I swear that everything I am saying is true and that I am very healthy. My own family does not remember things like surgery performed on my sister's shoulder a few months ago. She says she has never had surgery, "

The search for help and psychiatric visits did not help to shed light on this disturbing story and Lerina decided to write a public blog post asking if other people have experienced her condition; for this reason the story has become public and has now gone around the world.
The story
It’s a day like many others (23 February 2008) when Lerina Garcia, the protagonist of the story, a 41-year-old professional educator at the time of the events, upon awakening, realized that her life and the past had changed, small changes but such as to disturb her exceedingly...
She then decided to do the obvious thing to verify the accuracy of her perception: first ask friends, who have denied everything she said she had experienced, and then look for information on the internet.
According to what she herself stated on a forum, she would wake up in the same year and on the same day she fell asleep, but many things were different: starting from the set of sheets in her bed different from that of the previous evening to finish with the his car which strangely wasn't in his private parking lot but elsewhere.
Even the private parking lot itself (identified with a number) was on the opposite side of the road from where it should have been.
Another surprise awaited her in the office where she had worked for twenty years: here was not her name, but that of others.
The badge she had used without problems the day before was no longer recognized and she realized that, although she still worked there, it had been "moved" to another department in the building that she had no recollection of.
Lerina also tells of a relationship that began 6 months earlier with a man in her neighborhood but when she tried to get in touch with him she discovered that there was no trace of this person, his apartment was empty, even the private investigator hired to track him down found no evidence that he ever existed or lived there.
To this is added the fact that her ex-boyfriend, a man named Augustine, from whom she had separated for a long time, claimed instead that they had never left.
Between clothes she claims she never bought, blog posts from an unreleased radio show, incidents that never happened, the woman has also undergone psychiatric evaluations that attribute everything to stress hallucinations.
However, Lerina is absolutely convinced of another theory, that is to have made a leap between different dimensional planes, entering a parallel world in which some events had never occurred or her life had taken different directions.
News from Lerina Garcia
After 8 years of silence, on 13 January 2017, Lerina Garcia reportedly communicated through her personal blog that she had managed to make contact with many other people who have had similar experiences to hers and with whom she is working to find answers.
She anticipates that the bigger picture they are approaching would have very little positive implications, between the lines she speaks of a conspiracy on a large scale, a kind of well-orchestrated farce, aimed at deceiving us on the reality of things.
The story of Lerina Garcia, together with other cases similar to hers, seems to support the Theories on the Multiverse and inter-dimensional travel.
In modern physics the "multiverse" is the hypothesis of coexisting and alternative universes, often called "parallel dimensions": some scientific theories such as string theory and bubble universe theory hypothesize the existence of other realities besides ours.
We have all heard of alternate dimensions and universes: many believe that we are just inventions or that, although they exist, they are not reachable. Others argue that people of other dimensions can enter and leave our world at will ...
Conclusions
The question at this point is not only if there are parallel universes but also if it is possible to literally travel between these universes, as in the case of Lerina Garcia.
There are now many cases of "travelers" who would have moved in space, in time or precisely between alternative dimensions: let's think, for example, of the John Titor case, or the so-called "Man from Taured". The truth is that at present there is no evidence that can prove these stories in a certain way, however there are many theories, derived from quantum physics or the so-called multiverse theory, according to which infinite universes exist; some scholars then go on to find similarities with the mandela effect and with the theory of cubic time.
In the case of Lerina Garcia there would therefore have been a sort of overlap of two different realities... even if a more realistic explanation - and decidedly more banal - is instead that which attributes the condition of the woman to a partial loss of memory, or rather the superimposition of some non-real memories (... dreams?) to the memory of concrete facts.
