  Salesian Father Carlo Crespi Croci was born in Italy in 1891 and dedicated his life to work as a missionary in Ecuador, from 1923 until his death in 1982. Father Crespi collected a large number of objects, mainly metal tablets with inscriptions and symbols, which it was not possible to decipher.
