Flat Earth Society is an association founded in 1956 by Samuel Shenton, promoting the idea that the Earth is not a globe.
The association can be considered a succession of Universal Zetetic Society.
After a fire destroyed the house of Charles K. Johnson (president of the Flat Earth Society in the late 1900s), many information concerning the FES went lost, together with the contacts of the society's members.
The FES has been relaunched in 2009, with a massive use of the web (websites, groups, wiki, social networks).
The church says the earth is flat; but I have seen its shadow on the moon, and I have more confidence even in a shadow than in the church.
